My group was:
Niall Cruickshank-Sutton, Matt Chatfield, Chris Van Niekerk, Kirsty Fruin, Marty Edwards I prepared some boards to communicate where I was up to with each brief:
I also prepared a mock up of the look book for the Dance School (brief 5) for feedback more on the size and format than the content at this stage.
The crit felt too early in terms of how much work I had achieved to this point however it was good to have a focus point and also create some sense of what I need to do next. It was also useful to see what some other people in the group were up to and share ideas.
The feedback to Brief one was to maybe look at a a Culture Jamming approach. Each advert I had chosen to but in the context was very similar. Someone suggested maybe doing a survey without logos/branding to see if people can guess which brand is which?
Brief 2 feedback was felt like I had a challenging problem to solve. Maybe focus the target audience more
Brief 4 Was interesting to see how Chris as approaching a similar branding brief for a Furniture Student ( A jigsaw piece).
