In detail:
1. I like the idea of calling my workshop 'The Oak Studio', I saw this written on one of the pages and I think it's an excellent name for a workshop, it suggests a professional image more associated with design, yet links it with the traditional material of Oak.
2. I prefer the Cheltenham text style.
This typeface has links to the Arts and Crafts movement as one of its designers was involved with the movement as detailed here Know your type so all fits with the initial research and also the design development.
The version I am using is ITC Cheltenham which was designed by Tony Stan in 1975 with an increased x-height and improved italics
3. The green logo on the black/dark background looks beautiful. On page 6 the 3rd down on the left and, the top right designs are my favourite. The top right design on page 5 also stands out to me.
These are the designs Tom liked:
4. Is it possible to use the squares around letters on the W (of Wye) and T (of Tom), like in the top left design on page 3?
Its interesting tom likes this as I wasn't sure it worked.
I am going to develop these ideas and put them in context ie business card, website design, labels etc
