We all met Steve and Alison in their studio. One concern we all had was the Drawing Plan fold which had dictated the whole deign concept. As Designers we all opened the fold out poster the same way, not the way an Architect would open a drawing. We agreed that we would see how both Steve and Alison opened the poster and then ask their opinion. The target audience is ultimately other Interior Designers/Architects so hopefully instinctively they would open as a drawing not as a 'normal' fold out leaflet.
Alison preferred the original green not the brighter one. Steve also preferred the more subtle one.
Steve introduced an additional student to the mix (for which we didn't have any details. ) He also was able to provide some images for the three students who had failed to submit anything.
With the words poster Alison preferred the centred longer version with wide margins. On closer inspection she liked the 'dots' and also decided the reversed out one worked best. Steve also commented he would prefer just having 'adjectives' describing the course.
Another area we needed to resolve was the students who had only submitted one image. We wanted to provide two spreads per student in the PDF however were concerned that Marketing may not view the single spreads as fair and equitable, even though the student had chosen this. The other concern was Fred may say either they would not be included or worse all students could just have one spread. Steve said he was happy to just have one page spread for some students and some with to page spreads. This is something we do need to clarify.
Beth is going to send Steve an email of all the missing info/images with a FINAL deadline of Monday 22 April at 5pm. We also agreed (as per the first meeting) we would send the final design for sign off next Friday 25th April.
My action is to research how to make the PDF interactive
Baljeet is finalising the word poster design
Sarah is bringing the PDF/ first page together
Beth is sending all emails/collecting data/images missing
