Brief 5 Design Development Show Posters and Programmes

This is the research I did for the Ballet Show posters. The Dance School has already called the show 'Rhythm'.  I wanted to create something with movement so started researching hand illustrated drawings of ballet dancers. I also started looking at stock photos for inspiring ballet shots however ideally I would like to use a photograph of one of the existing students  I also considered existing Poster Art and also the content for the poster and the programme.

The problem I had with the Dance School images was the files sizes were not big enough for anything larger than A4.  So I decided to have a play around with effects in Photoshop to see if I could creat the effect I wanted.

The Poster development

The typeface is Bodoni Mutant.  I stumbled across it looking for an irregular font that may convey movement and it works perfectly with this concept.

The portrait format is more effective and elegant than the landscape
